Commitments that are reflected in our investment process and our governance.

A LONG-TERM ESG APPROACH OF THE INVESTMENT PROCESS

SOFIOUEST integrates its ESG approach into the entire investment process:

Preselection of investment projects

  • Choice of projects that correspond to the values of SOFIOUEST and its preferred areas of investment

At the time of discharge

(for investments in companies)
  • Inclusion of ESG dimensions in the documentation related to the exit
  • Where possible, choice a buyer who favors the pursuit of ESG commitments

Diligence

ESG assessment and impact of the project investment
  • Preparation of a roadmap ESG with managers
  • Inclusion of an ESG clause in legal documentation

During the investment

  • Monitoring of the ESG action plan with managers
  • Annual collection of indicators on extra-financial performance
  • Annual report on the progress of action plans and on the analysis ESG performance indicators

MANAGEMENT AND EVALUATION PROCESS BY A DEDICATED COMMITTEE

An ESG Steering Committee was set up in 2020, made up of 5 representatives of SOFIOUEST and 2 ESG experts. It meets quarterly and makes recommendations to the SOFIOUEST Board of Directors on the following elements:
  • Validation of SOFIOUEST's ESG charter, of the multiannual ESG roadmap and annual ESG reporting
  • Validation of the ESG assessment procedure for SOFIOUEST's holdings, either before investment for new participations, or a posteriori for portfolio investments
  • More broadly, intervention in the context of all subjects related to ESG likely to inform the work of the SOFIOUEST Board of Directors (initiatives in place that SOFIOUEST would benefit from joining, serious incidents within the portfolio, etc.)
